About This Opportunity
The Economic Development Access (EDA) program provides state-funded incentives to help Virginia localities improve road access for new or expanding basic employers. This program is for manufacturing, R&D, distribution, and other companies that generate at least 51% of their revenue from outside Virginia. Businesses work with their local economic development office to apply for funding to ensure adequate road access to their sites.
Eligibility Requirements
Application Guide
Eligibility is based on the business being a 'basic employer' (51%+ revenue from outside Virginia), locating or expanding in a Virginia locality, and the site lacking adequate road access. The application requires a letter of intent detailing business operations, investment, job creation, and road improvement needs, along with a preliminary site plan.
Work closely with your local economic development office from the start. Prepare a detailed letter of intent and a preliminary site plan outlining your business operations, investment, job creation, and specific access road needs.
