The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) has updated its Take Charge and NJ Cool grant programs. New Jersey businesses and institutions can apply for funding to establish electric vehicle charging infrastructure paired with on-site renewable energy, or for building retrofit projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, ultimately lowering energy costs.

Selection criteria include advancing new solar and energy storage installations, reducing energy bills for businesses and institutions, driving down greenhouse gas emissions, and aligning with Governor Sherrill’s energy affordability agenda. Take Charge requires EV charging infrastructure for private fleets with on-site renewable energy/storage. NJ Cool focuses on building retrofits that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
